For one night only, the runway world comes to the small town of Ipswich, Massachusetts. From swimsuits to formal wear, the Class of 2025 is preparing for its one night only runway debut. The only fashion show of the year always brings so much anticipation and excitement for the senior class.
Many people may wonder, “What is the fashion show?” Every year the senior class hosts a fashion show where all of the profits go to their end of the year events, including prom and many senior week activities. Anyone in the senior class has the option to sign up and become a model. This year, over 50 seniors are participating in the event.
“I’m most excited about participating in the fashion show. From what I’ve heard of the fashion show, it seems like a great experience that I can’t wait to be a part of,” said senior Lizzy Mosco, who is making her first runway appearance at the upcoming show.
“I’m participating in the fashion show as both a model and an event organizer, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Personally, I’m most excited for the chance to step out of my comfort zone and create lasting memories with friends and family,” said senior class president Jake Petradelis.
With anticipation high, the planning of the event is one of the most important parts. Through thoughtful preparation, each model is assigned a store where they are fitted and styled for the big night. The stores range from secondhand consignment stores, like Savers, to newer clothing brands, like Giblees Suits, which is a main supplier for the show.
“The fashion show is primarily organized by dedicated parent volunteers, but class officers play a crucial role in communicating with the student body, promoting the event, and making key decisions,” says Jake.

Working alongside local businesses like Luxa, Pomodori’s, Dalton Driving Academy, and their main sponsor, Institution for Savings, the show allows sponsors to promote themselves by donating auction items to the event. This year some of the items include front row seats to the upcoming 2025 graduation, sports game tickets, and many restaurant gift cards. The senior officers and class advisor work together with the sponsors and dedicated parents to plan the entire event.
This year the event is taking a turn as it is taking place at the Ipswich Country Club, rather than its usual setting at the Ipswich Hellenic Center. With a new venue comes a growing sense of anticipation to see the final product of all the decorating.
Promotion is a huge part of the fashion show to ensure a large community involvement. “We plan to promote the event through word of mouth and social media. Advertising will take place on our Instagram account, along with the launch of a dedicated website. As the event approaches, we’ll put up flyers to draw more attention. Additionally, local companies donating clothing for the models will help increase visibility,” says Jake.
With the fashion show itself taking place in just over a week, on March 14th, preparations are in full swing. Outfits are being finalized, hairstyles are being planned, and many are perfecting their first ever runway walks. The upcoming show is promised to be a night to remember for everyone.
