Zach Esmel is a beloved member of the senior class here at Ipswich High School. Zach does a lot of things here and has good goals for the future, and we are going to tell you what he is all about.
Zach’s day in life during a nice summer day without school consists of going to the gym in the morning to hit a good, productive workout. He feels that going to the gym in the mornings is a good way to start off his day by getting something accomplished. He then said that after the gym, he loves to hang out with his friends and get food. He specifically said that he “loves to go to Dave’s Hot Chicken,” which is located on Route 1 in Saugus.
If he is not hanging out with his friends, Zach is a family guy. Zach said that he loves to hang out with his family, and they do lots of fun family things together. During the summer, Zach and his family go up to Lake Winnipesaukee to a lake house. They have a boat up there that they love to do fun things like tubing and fishing. During the winter, Zach enjoys going up to the mountains to ski. Zach goes to Gunstock and Sunday River, which are two nice and very well-known mountains.
After high school, Zach plans on going to community college for free for two years. Then he wants to transfer out to another school. Zach is intending to go into the Environmental Engineering field during college. He said, “I have always loved the environment and being outdoors, so I want to take care of the environment by engineering things.”
Right now, Zach has some current goals before he goes to college. Zach wants to work a lot. He has a job as a caterer at Vinwood, which is what he is also doing for Bridge. He wants to work a lot to save up money for future college funds.
This year, Zach has decided to play lacrosse for the first time ever, and he joined the team. We asked him why he chose to play lacrosse, and he said, “I got a lot of motivation from friends to play”. He also said that his main reason was that he wants to hang around his friends on the team because soon enough, we are all going to separate for college.

It has been about a month since the lacrosse season started, so we asked him how the season was going so far, and he said, “I love playing games, and I have had a positive experience. I feel that everyone is helping me out and being really positive.” Zach is really trying to improve, and it shows every practice. It is really hard to just join a sport without any past experience, so it shows the courage that Zach has.
Zach is a very well-rounded student who we feel will have a very successful life in the future, and we wish Zach the best of luck in his future endeavors.
