Getting jacked or fit in the gym is actually much easier than most people think. I will be handing out the secret sauce to do so. Most people think it takes years of dedication and hours of hard work each day to see noticeable improvements in their physique. However, this claim is untrue. If you are a male with relatively high testosterone levels, eat lots of protein, and train hypertrophy with progressive overload, people can become absolute specimens in a matter of months.
The correct way to train is resistance training, also known as weight lifting. This is the best way to build muscle, lose excess weight, and become a “Chad”. Typically, doing anything more than eight repetitions is a waste of your time. Hitting failure is the only true way to gain muscle quickly. Achieving failure is when you press or lift a weight to the point where you cannot anymore. This is typically not truly achieved by the average chud you find at the gym; this is especially true when you look around and the people you have trained with for years look about the same. I wanted to understand what other like-minded chads thought about this idea, so I interviewed one. James is a member at the same gym as I. I have seen him attend this gym for many years. James is one of the few who I see actually improve weight-wise during their extended time at the gym. I asked him what allowed him to gain mass and strength, and he explained, “Eating high protein diet paired with creatine and consistency will have the largest impact on your mass and the mass you can move.” Wow, great insight from James there. This is quite simple and easy to understand. Training till failure and targeting fewer reps and higher weight are the quickest ways to gain mass and increase the amount of mass you can move.
Now we understand how to actually gain mass and strength. Let’s focus on what you can do outside of the gym to improve your overall health and performance. How you spend your time outside of the gym is more important than what you do in the gym. What you eat, how you sleep, and not being a degenerate smoker or drinking all day significantly change how you put on weight and recover. Throughout the last 5 years I have concluded that a pound of weight should equate to a gram of protein in your diet. This, paired with daily creatine usage, will have the greatest impact on your mass building you could have. I wanted to get to the bottom of any tips experienced lifters may have for the younger generation, So I asked my father, an experienced lifter for quite some time on how to stay in shape for a long time, his advice goes as follows, “The best advice I can give to the younger generations has to be make sure your getting your stretches in, you don’t want to get to my age and be immobile”. Wow, great advice yet again. I hear this from most older people, so it must be one of the most important aspects of keeping your health. Safe weight lifting will get you farther than full-blown ego lifting.
